These terms and conditions govern the use of this website and apply between you, the user of this website and Knives from Japan Ltd T/A Vektra. We recommend that you read the terms and conditions of this website carefully before purchasing a product or using our services as use of this website will automatically confirm your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. If you do not agree to any of these terms and conditions, you should stop using the website immediately.

References in these Terms and Conditions to "we", "us" and "Vektra” are to Knives from Japan Ltd, Silversteel Manor, Carrwood Road, Sheepbridge, Chesterfield, S41 9QB, Company registration number 10529513

"Conditions" means these terms and conditions

"Site" or "Website" means the website of Knives from Japan Ltd.

This website is owned by Knives from Japan Ltd, a company registered in England whose registered office is Silversteel Manor, Carrwood Road, Sheepbridge, Chesterfield, S41 9QB.

Intellectual Property and Acceptable Use

All content included on this website, is the property of Vektra, our affiliates or relevant third parties. In these terms and conditions, content means any text, graphics, images, audio, video, software, data compilations, page layout, underlying code or software and other form of information capable of being stored on a computer that appears on or forms part of this website. By using this website, you acknowledge that such content is protected by copyright, trademarks, database rights and other intellectual property rights. Nothing on this site shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel or otherwise, any license or right to use any trademark, logo or service displayed on the site without the owner’s prior written permission.

You may use for your own personal, non-commercial use, do the following:

Print one copy of the content

You must not otherwise, reproduce, modify, copy, distribute or use for commercial purposes any content without written permission from Global Knives.

Description of the Goods

All goods are described by us as accurately as possible. Despite this, slight variations from descriptions may occur. If you are unsure of something in any way, please reach out to us by email support@vektra.uk

Product images are for illustrative purposes only. All product images are of the actual products themselves and have been photographed from physical samples. We have made every effort to make sure that the images accurately reflect the physical samples, but sometimes different computer monitors, and different computer monitor settings can slightly alter the colour or appearance of the product.

We make every effort to makes sure that the pricing displayed on our website is correct, but all prices need to be validated before an order is processed. If there is a price difference we will contact you immediately and should you wish to cancel your order, we will offer an immediate refund. All prices shown are in British Pounds Sterling and inclusive of VAT. Prices exclude delivery charges.

Placing and Order with Us

You are deemed to have placed an order with us by completing the online checkout process for any of our products. During the checkout process you will be given the opportunity to fully check your order and correct any errors or make any changes you want. Once an order has been placed you will receive a confirmation to the email address you provided with the full details of the order. You will subsequently receive a further email when your order is dispatched.

No contract exists until we accept your order and acceptance of your order is only after we have actually dispatched the goods, even if we have received payment from you.

If we have processed your payment but decide not to accept your order, we will re- credit your account with the full amount deducted by us as soon as possible.

It is your responsibility to observe any local customs, regulations or legislation when purchasing our goods from abroad. We accept no responsibility or liability in respect of goods exported from the UK and imported into another country or territory.

Payment

We only accept payment by credit or debit card through our online payments system. No payments will be taken over the phone. Payments are required by us before dispatch and delivery. If your payment fails, the order is cancelled.

Our website uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) to encrypt any personal information that is sent to us. This makes sure that no third party can intercept and use the data.

Our website uses Checkout and Paypal as its online payment provider. We do not keep any credit card details ourselves and we have no access to the full card details.

Right to Cancel your Contract

You may cancel your contract with us for the goods that you order up to 28 days from the date that you ordered the goods. You do not need to give us a reason why.

Any items purchased may be returned to us for a full refund within 28 days of the original purchase, however you have 28 days from purchase to notify us of your right to cancellation. Items returned to us must be safely packed and sent in the original packaging, undamaged, unused and fit for resale. Refunds will only be made when the items have been safely received back and have been inspected. If these conditions are not met, your purchase will not be refunded. Refunds will be made within 7 days.

To return any items to us please contact us by sending an email to support@vektra.uk or fill out the returns form on the website. We will not process any unauthorised returns.

The costs of returning unwanted purchases will be borne by the purchaser.

Vektra will not be held responsible for any losses incurred by the customer or recipients in non-recoverable carriage or importation costs associated with the delivery of any goods or their replacements howsoever caused. For this reason, we strongly recommend sending returns by recorded delivery.

Delivery

We aim to pick, pack and dispatch orders on the same day for orders received before 12pm otherwise they are dispatched the following day. However during busy times this may be extended. Orders are only dispatched on working days, Monday to Friday. No deliveries or orders will be dispatched on Bank Holidays or between Christmas and New Year. An email will be sent to the email address provided with confirmation that your order has been shipped and will provide you with a tracking reference.

All orders are sent out via UPS and you may be required to provide your ID to verify you are over the age of 18 when the order is delivered. You will receive a free text and email notification for peace of mind. You can track your parcel by entering your UPS reference number at https://www.ups.com/track?loc=en_GB

Standard Delivery

We offer free delivery on all orders over £50 to any UK postal address. For orders under £50 there is a £3.99 delivery charge. This is our default delivery option for UK orders.

Next Day Delivery:

For express next day delivery we will charge £4.99 per order to any UK postal address.

Europe:

For European Deliveries we charge £9.99 for any address in Zone 2-51 and £17.99 for Zones 6. Your parcel should arrive within 2-3 working/business days.

Zone 2-51 Countries:

Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Belgium, Holland (The Netherlands), Luxembourg, France, Germany, Monaco, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Italy, Poland, Portugal (excluding Azores and Madeira), Spain (excluding Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla), Sweden, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania and Slovak Republic.

Zone 6 Countries:

Andorra, Channel Islands (Guernsey), Channel Islands (Jersey), Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino and Switzerland.

International:

For International Deliveries we will charge £27.99 for Zone 5 and 8, £19.99 for Zone 6-7 and £29.99 for Zone 9. Your parcel should arrive within 2-3 working/business days.

Zone 5 and 8:

Standard Delivery

Gift Vouchers Voucher Codes and Promotional Discounts

Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift Vouchers can be used for any product on the website including full price and sale items. If a product paid for with a gift voucher is returned, that purchaser will receive a new gift voucher. Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from purchase, after this date, the gift voucher will become null and void with no refunds given.

From time to time we will offer discounts and promotions in the form of discount codes. Promotional discounts are limited to one per customer unless otherwise stated and valid only for the time period indicated. Only one discount code per transaction may be used.

If the discount code is for a flat fee or set percentage of the value of an order over a specified amount, where multiple products are ordered, if any of the items are thus returned to bring the total value of the order down below the specified amount, you will receive a refund from us of the full price minus the amount of discount that has been applied to the other products.

If we suspect that any of these offers are being abused we reserve the right to refuse orders.

Goods Damaged on Arrival

If the goods we have delivered to you are damaged or the delivery is an incorrect quantity, we require you to notify us within 7 days of the delivery. Any goods claimed to be defective which are returned to us will be checked by us. If you notify us that there is a problem we will either make good on any shortage, repair or replace the goods or provide a full refund.

Liability

Except what is required by law we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expense (including loss of business profits or goodwill) arising out of any problem that you notify us of. We have no liability to pay any money in the form of compensation to you other than to refund to you the amount paid to us for goods ordered from us.

We will have no liability for any delay to deliver goods to you for circumstances outside of our control or for any damage or defect to goods delivered for circumstance beyond our reasonable control without limitation to, but including; strikes, weather, logistics failure, flood, fire or other accident.

Nothing written in these terms and conditions limits any of your rights as a consumer. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions shall be governed according to English law. Disputes arising in the connection with these terms and conditions will be settled according to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
